The history of the Tischer family by Richard W. E. Perrin,
in the "History of Jackson, Wisconsin" [1],
lists his birth place as
Klein Ujeschütz.
I cannot verify this from the David Star church records.
His son was born there, and his
wife was born in neighboring Gross Ujeschütz, so it is
possible.
